About the role
AceSpeak is looking for a Senior Mobile Engineer to build and improve our native iOS and Android app experience. You will work on recording, playback, scoring and progress-tracking features that help users practise speaking confidently.
Responsibilities
- Develop native app features for iOS and Android
- Improve recording, playback and clip-review flows
- Ship app updates with strong stability and performance
- Collaborate with product, design and backend teams
- Support App Store and Google Play release processes
What we’re looking for
- 5+ years building mobile apps, preferably on both iOS and Android
- Strong Swift/SwiftUI or Objective-C skills, plus Kotlin/Java
- Experience with native audio/video capture and playback
- A user-focused approach and high attention to detail
- Good written English and strong collaboration skills
Nice to have
- App Store / Google Play release experience
- Subscription and in-app purchase experience
- Mobile accessibility and localisation knowledge
AceSpeak candidate exercise
All applicants are required to complete a short AceSpeak practice exercise and achieve a total AceSpeak score above 3,000 before submitting an application.

The score is one part of a human-reviewed application process and is not used as the sole hiring criterion. Working details: This is a full-time role. Remote / hybrid within the UK; London preferred. Standard full-time hours apply, with the exact schedule agreed during hiring. There is no fixed degree requirement; equivalent practical experience is welcome.
